My name is Alessia Berra and I breed 100 goats. With their milk I produce cheese. I live with my goats in Platischis, which is a little village in the district of Taipana, in the “Alta Valle del Torre”, in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region.
In 2008 I founded “Zore”, my farming and livestock company: the word “zore” in the local dialect means “dawn”. Every morning my goats and I watch this dawn, which then becomes the sun that shines in the fields where goats graze freely during the summer.
The strong bond with the land where I was born and brought up made me decide to breed my goats here and to produce my own cheese.
I graduated in Natural Sciences at the University of Padua and then I specialized in zootechnics and transformation of dairy products: then it did not take me long to realize that my place was my native valley.
With determination, passion, humility and courage I founded my farm and nowadays I still want to give myself a challenge, improving and always offering high-quality products.
